It’s Not Autumn Yet

It’s not autumn yet,

But leaves are falling

One by one

Leaving the tree bare.

It’s not the time yet,

The sand slips through the glass,

The clock ticks,

The seconds fly past.

There is no sound heard

Yet the ears dread

When the winds howl

And the leaves crunch.

The eye is blind

To the colours of spring;

It cannot see,

Limited to the vision within!
