A Sojourn

(Sonnet)

The chandelier hung from the ceiling up high,

Numerous sparkling crystals there dangling by,

Light reflected clear colours immense

Illuminating the wide vast expanse.

The white reflective arches around twelve

Tales of glamorous grandeur into delve,

Each detail depicted dreamy drawing,

Carved, sculpted into intricate design.

The carpet soft and smooth in crimson hue,

Indigo and magenta glancing through;

The silk knots telling a timeless true tale

And flaunting pleasant lustrous sense to trail.

The shining, shimmering, glistening cavern

Adorned luxurious for a short sojourn!
