The Calm

All around there is calm and peace

The clouds all high and stationary

No wind no gust, just gentle breeze

Situated in a sanctuary

The trees stand tall and gently sway

The dogs don’t bark and lie around

The birds fly high and glide away

Creatures far and wide all bound

The clouds gather then and pour down

Shower so light and soundlessly

Tenderness spread in total town

Choicest of nature languidly

Scattered about abundant hues

The shades on earth, all browns and greens

The shades in sky, all greys and blues

Splendid design on pristine screens

Season it is, unknown unseen

Of rain and light, of wind and gale

Of heart and mind, all calm and clean

Of soul and thought, all flawed and frail.
